Trip to Annapurna Base Camp [4130m] #ABC #photo

I recently visited the Annapurna Base Camp popularly known as ABC in Annapurna conservation area, western Nepal. We (had a group of four) were in a research field trip that involved collecting bee samples. We were able to collect Himalayan cliff honey bee from an elevation of ~3700 meter above see level. Trekking to ABC involves a visit to the Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) on the same route.

If you are planning to trek in this area, I recommend you read this post. In my post you will see some pictures from the trip during early monsoon season.

An evening at Jhinu, right after the short heavy rain.

Beautiful village "Chhomrung". The cliff seen in left is famous for cliff honey bee hives.
Small house
at the bottom of the picture (green roof) is a small hydro power house.

Looking downstream the Modi khola watershed. Village seen on right is probably
the famous "Ghandruk" village,
whereas "Landruk" village is on left.

A typical hill agriculture system. The fields were being prepared for new plantation.
River at the bottom and settlement at top.

At the base of Himalayas. The buildings seen are hotels at the ABC (4130m asl).
High mountains can be seen 360 from this place depending on the weather.

Great feeling after a hard time.
Representative view of a alpine ecosystem, wild flowers on their peak time.
